Happy Deepavali 2018

Deepawali is a very important occasion for the Indians. This particular festival is celebrated with great fanfare. Apart from the fire crackers and delicious sweets, something that enjoys huge popularity among the mass are the dresses. This is the right time to purchase clothes and designers from all over the country and abroad try to flaunt their creations and attract the potential customers to buy them. As a matter of fact, Deepawali clothes purchase is not a last moment affair, but something that takes place two to three months of this religious festival.

Deepavali or Diwali is the festival of lights celebrated across India and the world. The festival symbolizes victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. The world “deepavali” means “row or series of lights”. In the Hindu mythology as depicted in the holy epic Ramayana, Diwali is the day Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman reached Ayodhya after an exile of 14 years and defeating demon king Ravana.

On this day Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and wealth, is worshipped.  According to Vedic legend, on the night of Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi married Lord Vishnu. Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, also remembered as the “remover of obstacles”. NDTV.

Deepawali is rather an important Indian festival, which tends to rely heavily on the Indian traditions. This festival being celebrated for a day and enjoyed a month long with relatives and friends frequenting each other’s house, both the young and the old would prefer to be in the best looks and well designed and selected clothing can make a huge difference on the individual.

Though traditional dresses have always been a hit, there has also been a good demand for aesthetic and tastefully designed fashionable outfits that are designer created. While women mostly prefer to wear zari woven ‘silk’ sarees during the puja, the current styles of similar traditional Deepawali sarees tend to feature a wonderful touch of embellishments, in the type of motifs or along the border, which makes these sarees all the more attractive and gorgeous. Even women, who prefer to wear Salwar Kameez over the sarees, are offered a variety of churidar kameez and salwar kameez that tend to evoke in the individual a contemporary appeal. It also enhances their looks and personality and is sure to make heads turn.
