New Partnership Aims to Shape the Next Generation of Journalists

Prof. Ankush Mittal, the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, K. R. Mangalam University; Dr. Vijay Gaur, General Secretary, Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti; Dr Neerja Chaturvedi; Gp. Capt. Praveen Mahajan, Registrar; Dean SJMC Prof. Dr Neeraj Khattri and all the faculty members of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

On October 27, 2023, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, and Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. 

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Prof. Ankush Mittal, the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, K. R. Mangalam University; Dr. Vijay Gaur, General Secretary, Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti; Dr Neerja Chaturvedi; Gp. Capt. Praveen Mahajan, Registrar; Dean SJMC Prof. Dr Neeraj Khattri and all the faculty members of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, KRMU.

KRMU and Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti

Collaborated for academic exchange (including internships/ workshop/seminars/ on-the-job training of students) and cooperation in education, research, and training with the objective of building competency, developing journalistic skills, and moulding the mindset of students through various programmes and activities. This partnership will strengthen the foundations of journalism, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to face the challenges of the future.

New Trends in Media: Guest Lecture Delivered by Dr. Vijay Gaur

The School of Journalism and Mass Communication together with Mediaverse, K R Mangalam University, Gurugram,  organised a guest lecture on “New Trends in Media” on October 27, 2023 in C108, 11 am onwards. Dr. Vijay Gaur, Bureau Chief of Motherland Voice Daily Newspaper, graced the event with his expertise. He was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Neeraj Khattri (Dean, SJMC).

Dr. Gaur shed light on emerging media trends, emphasizing the rise of immersive storytelling and the importance of digital-first content. He also stressed the significance of media literacy in today’s fast-paced information age. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape.
