The School of Emerging Media and Creator Economy (SEMCE) at K.R. Mangalam University successfully organized an Inter-University Open Mic Competition as part of its flagship fest, Create-A-Thon 2025, held on September 23, 2025. The much-awaited results of this dynamic event were announced on September 26, 2025.
The competition brought together student performers from across universities and created a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity and laughter. Participants showcased their talent in poetry, stand-up comedy, storytelling, and spoken word, promoting an inspiring spirit of free expression and cultural camaraderie within the campus.
Popular influencers Devesh Sharma, Nikhil Chandra, and Abhishek Vaid were in attendance, energizing the event, increasing its visibility, and inspiring young performers. These influencers also shared their journeys with KRMU students, offering valuable insights into the creator economy, strategies for content creation, methods of monetization, and future opportunities in the fast-evolving digital landscape.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Amit Chawla, Dean of SEMCE, praised the student coordinators and faculty for their seamless management. SEMCE’s ongoing commitment to nurturing creativity, talent, and innovation among students, affirming the school’s vision of bridging academic learning with industry practice, he added.
This Open Mic Competition was a celebration of student voices, enriched cultural collaboration, and reaffirmed the success of Create-A-Thon 2025 as a defining event for SEMCE’s Create-A-Thon 2025 and K.R. Mangalam University.
