Hack KRMU 5.0 Night 1: Innovation Continues as Participants Code Through the Night

Gurugram, February 19, 2026: The first day of Hack KRMU 5.0, a 54-hour national-level hackathon organized by the School of Engineering & Technology (CoE – AI) at K.R. Mangalam University, officially concluded on an energetic note, seamlessly transitioning into an intense and vibrant Night 1.

Soon after the formal Day 1 proceedings wrapped up, participants dived straight into their problem statements with remarkable dedication and enthusiasm. The campus buzzed with creativity as teams collaborated, brainstormed, and began developing innovative solutions, turning ideas into working prototypes through the night.

Adding a refreshing break to the intense coding sessions, a high-energy DJ night sponsored by Red Bull brought participants together. The lively atmosphere not only provided relaxation but also rejuvenated the spirits of the young innovators, preparing them for the long night ahead.

The excitement peaked during the Midnight Challenge, where Red Bull cans were distributed among all participants, ensuring they remained energized and focused throughout the night-long development phase.

A major highlight of Night 1 was Judgment Round 1, conducted between 1:00 A.M. and 4:00 A.M. Esteemed judges from Hackshastra, along with experienced developers from Hughes Systique and Sunstone, evaluated the teams on innovation, technical execution, and problem-solving approach. The intense evaluation process witnessed a diverse range of groundbreaking ideas and impressive technical solutions.

The results, announced at 7:00 A.M., marked a significant milestone in the competition, with 60 teams successfully qualifying for Round 2. With renewed enthusiasm and unwavering energy, the shortlisted teams have now advanced to the next stage, continuing their journey to engineer impactful and innovative solutions as Hack KRMU 5.0 progresses into its next phase.
