The School of Engineering & Technology at K.R. Mangalam University is all set to host Hack KRMU 5.0, a 54 hour non stop national hackathon from February 18 to 20, 2026, bringing together some of the brightest young innovators from across the country.
The three day mega event will witness participation from 250+ teams, including students from 100+ universities outside K.R. Mangalam University, making it one of the largest student led hackathons in the region. For 54 continuous hours, teams will ideate, code, and build real world solutions to pressing industry challenges.
The hackathon features an impressive prize pool to reward innovation and excellence. The First Prize is set at ₹1,00,000, the Second Prize at ₹60,000, and the Third Prize at ₹40,000. In addition, there are five track prizes worth ₹10,000 each, recognizing the best projects under each theme.
Hack KRMU 5.0 will focus on five impactful domains Cybersecurity, Agritech, EdTech, HealthTech, and Blockchain, with industry driven problem statements designed to encourage practical and scalable technological solutions. The event will be judged and mentored by experts from leading organizations including HCL, EXL, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and Google Developers Group, ensuring strong industry alignment and valuable feedback for participants.
Their involvement strengthens the bridge between academia and corporate innovation. Backed by 18+ trusted partners, the hackathon reflects strong industry academia collaboration. Beyond coding, the event promises high energy throughout with midnight challenges, interactive games, and team engagement activities, creating an environment that blends competition with collaboration and fun.
