Today evening a IAF’s Su-30 aircraft on a routine training mission from Tezpur (Assam) crashed in the local flying area.
Significantly, Both pilots ejected safely from the aircraft and have been rescued. A Court of Inquiry will ascertain cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, “The plane crashed in an open field, 1km ahead of Milanpur hospital. There was no loss of life and property on the ground,” stated Defence PRO Lt Colonel Harshvardhan Pande.
People gathered around the area as the aircraft went up in flames. A court of inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of accident.
