Congress party in its election manifesto promises to amend the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act — AFSPA. Congress President Rahul Gandhi on him contesting from Wayanad remarked, They feel that they are not being included in the decisions of this country. So I wanted to send a message to south India that we are with you & we are.
“We took a year’s time to cover all the objectives in the manifesto. We took opinions from the people and their wishes have been scripted in the manifesto,” ‘Our manifesto will script bright future for the country’. “Congress promises 150 days of MNREGA in its manifesto. We have also decided to bring a separate farmer’s budget and six per cent of the GDP will be contributed to education” remarked Congress Chief.
As Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi remarked the manifesto, the first being NYAY scheme, congress said, “PM Narendra Modi said Rs 15 lakh will be put. I asked the manifesto committee to give me the truth. How much can we really put into bank accounts of poor people? They gave me a number of Rs 72,000. ‘Garibi pe vaar, Rs 72,000’. This will put money into pockets of the poor. Secondly, PM Modi jammed economy with notes ban. This will jumpstart the economy by putting money in hands,”.
Moreover, Adding that the committee has done a good job on the manifesto, Rahul Gandhi remarked, “This is not a manifesto made in closed rooms. NYAY, jobs and farmers are among our focal points. NYAY will help the economy. We will deliver money to the poorest people in the country.”
However, The last 5 years have been disastrous for the people of India. The youth have lost jobs. Farmers have lost hope. Traders have lost business. Micro, small and medium enterprises have lost their confidence. Women have lost the sense of security. Deprived communities have lost their traditional rights. Institutions have lost independence, The Congress remarked.
Significantly, The Congress party manifesto promises to waive the outstanding loan of farmers and ending the non-payment of loans as a criminal offence. The Congress manifesto also introduces a separate ‘Kisan budget’ to prioritise issues affecting the agriculture sector, Indian Express Reported.
Also, The party promised to “keep a vigilant eye on the security situation”. They remarked that they would reverse the trend of declining defence spending, and ensure that it is increased to meet the requirements of the Armed Forces. Party would put in efforts to maintain the law and order situation so that every citizen and visitor feel secured in this country, the party manifesto assumed.
Following the document, The Opposition has pledged to fill four lakh central government and institutional vacancies before March 2020. “Unemployment is the gravest challenge to the country and job creation is the highest priority for the economy. In the last five years, there has been a dramatic rise in unemployment. Today, unemployment is touching a 45-year high of 6.1 per cent according to the government’s own figures.”
Despite the same, Following the official source, The 2019 general elections will be held during Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary year. This reminds us that these elections are mainly between 2 ideologies. On the one hand is the Indian National Congress which has worked tirelessly to “wipe every tear from every eye,” while building a strong, harmonious, prosperous and modern India. On the other hand is the ideology of the RSS and its affiliates, which is working to destroy the very idea of India that the Mahatma gave his life for.
