Do Not Cross Railway Tracks short film with Message of Shri Amitabh Bachchan Released

Shri D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway released Public Awareness short film about trespassing with message by Shri Amitabh Bachchan at the Heritage Hall, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai on 24.10.2018.

In the short films, Shri Amitabh Bachchan appeals to passengers to follow the Railway Safety Rules, Do not cross the rail track and use the foot over bridges. He also reminded those who does such things, should keep in mind that someone is waiting for them at home.

Shri D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway while addressing the media said these short films will be show cased at all major stations, booking counters, social media platforms, etc. Shri Sharma further said that all the Divisional Railway Managers have been advised to conduct awareness drive about dangers of tresspassing. While answering the question on increase in penalty for travelling on roof top, he said that this will be forwarded to Railway Board for consideration so that it could act as deterrent. Shri Sharma also said 8 coaches train on Aman Lodge-Matheran section will be introduced shortly.

As a part of Ek Safar Rail Ke Saath campaign, other short films on Rail Memoirs of Shri Amitabh Bachchan and Heritage Walk of UNESCO world heritage site in both English and Hindi version were also released.

Shri Vishal Agarwal, Additional General Manager and other Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway, Additional Divisional Railway Managers of Mumbai Division were also present on the occasion. Shri Sunil Udasi, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway welcomed the gathering and briefed about Ek Safar Rail Ke Saath campaign.
