CM Arvind Kejriwal slapped during roadshow

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was today slapped by a man during a roadshow in the Moti Nagar area. Mr Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party chief, was standing on an open jeep, canvassing in the New Delhi constituency, when the man jumped up and attacked him. As per report, He was identified as 33-year-old Suresh, a spare parts dealer. The AAP, meanwhile, has blamed the BJP for the attack.

However, This is not the first time that the Delhi CM has been attacked. In November 2018, a man had thrown chilli powder on him outside his office in the Delhi secretariat.

In 2016, a man had thrown a shoe at Arvind Kejriwal when he was giving the details of the phase 2 of the odd-even scheme. Around the same time, a woman had also thrown ink on him at a “thanksgiving” gathering at Chhatrasal Stadium. In 2014, an autorickshaw driver had slapped Kejriwal while he was campaigning for the Delhi assembly elections in Sultapuri in northwest Delhi. Kejriwal had suffered a black eye at that time, HT reported.

Earlier, he has had engine oil and eggs also hurled at him. Arvind Kejriwal was slapped when he was waving at the people who had gathered during his roadshow in National capital. A man, wearing a red T-shirt, climbed atop Kejriwal’s open jeep and slapped the Delhi chief minister before being taken down by AAP supporters.
