Syrian air defenses intercepted an Israeli missile attack that targeted areas in the western countryside of the capital Damascus on tuesday, the state TV mentioned. Following the military source, the air defenses intercepted most of the Israeli missiles before reaching their targets, adding that only a weapon depot was damaged and three soldiers were wounded.

Syrian air defences have repelled a missile attack on Damascus, While the projectiles were downed over the western suburbs of Damascus, Ikhbariya broadcaster reported. Israeli Air Force launched missile attack on Damascus surroundings from Lebanese airspace and that most of the missiles were downed. The attack left three servicemen wounded and caused damage to an ammunition depot.
Following the Trump’s announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has mentioned that Israel would “continue to act against Iran’s attempts to entrench itself militarily in Syria, and to the extent necessary, we will even expand our actions there”.
Despite all of this, Tuesday’s reported attack near Damascus is the first since US President Donald Trump announced last week that, “Washington will withdraw all of its 2,000 forces in Syria”.
