Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi, who has quit the Congress party, and joined Shiv Sena on April 2019. Sena MP named, Sanjay Raut gave a hint to this effect to journalists but declined to comment further as party President Uddhav Thackeray is likely to make the announcement later in the day.
Chaturvedi said she had expressed her “pain” to the Congress leadership about the reinstatement of colleagues who misbehaved with her.
I am absolutely overwhelmed and grateful with the love and support I have got across board from the nation in the past 3 days.
I consider myself blessed with this immense outpouring of support. Thank you to all who have been a part of this journey. pic.twitter.com/WhUYYlwHLj— Priyanka Chaturvedi (@priyankac19) April 19, 2019
“What saddens me is that despite safety, dignity, empowerment of women being promoted by the party and has been your call to action the same is not reflected in the action of some of the members of the party. A serious incident and misbehaviour against me by certain party members, while I was on official duty for the party, has been ignored under the guise of all hands needed for elections. This indignity to me has been the final factor to convince me to move on and focus on other things outside INC,” Priyanka Chaturvedi writes.
Deeply saddened that lumpen goons get prefence in @incindia over those who have given their sweat&blood. Having faced brickbats&abuse across board for the party but yet those who threatened me within the party getting away with not even a rap on their knuckles is unfortunate. https://t.co/CrVo1NAvz2

Moreover, addressing the media, Chaturvedi expressed that, I have served the Indian National Congress for 10 years in a selfless manner without asking for anything in return. But the party chose to ignore my complaints though the matter was taken up at the topmost level.
