Jnanpith award winner, multi-lingual film actor and noted theatre personality Girish Karnad passed away here on June 10, an official stated. He was 81.
“Karnad died at home at around 8:30 a.m. due to age-related symptoms,” an official in the Karnataka Chief Minister’s office told IANS.
It is with great shock that we have received the news of the sad and untimely demise of Hon. ‘Girish Karnad Ji’ at 81, who was at one time the ‘Jnanpith award winner’, multi-lingual film star and renowned theatre personality..
