Entire India to be on Full Lockdown for 21 Days from March 25, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 24 announced that entire Nation will be locked down for the next 21 days from midnight tonight and urged Indians to forget what stepping out feels like, or warned that the entire country will go back 21 years.

He said that, Today India is at the stage where our actions today, will decide that to what extent we can bring down the impact of this disaster. This is the time to strengthen our resolve again and again, he asserted.

The PM, Rs 15,000 crore allotted for Coronavirus testing facilities, PPEs, ICUs, Ventilators and training medical workers. He said that, We are taking all steps to ensure continuous supply of essential commodities, He added.

As 32 states and Union Territories imposed complete lockdown till March 31, the Centre asked them to clamp curfew wherever necessary in the wake of people defying lockdown orders. PM Modi also warned, if we don’t follow a complete lockdown for the coming 21 days, the nation will go back 21 years and many families will be devastated. 

Moreover, The PM, “I am confident that India will not only successfully tackle this challenge but also emerge victorious in this time of crisis take care of yourself and take care of your near and dear ones,” he added. “You have to remember that a Coronavirus infected person initially appears to be normal and doesn’t show symptoms. So maintain precautions and stay at home,” The PM asserted.

He also said many powerful countries in the world have become helpless, regardless of their efforts. He once again reiterated that social distancing is the only way to deal with this deadly coronavirus that has infected more than 500 in India, so far. This is his second address to the nation regarding coronavirus. In his first address he urged Indians to observe ”Janata Curfew”.
