PM Narendra Modi delivers inaugural address at India Global Week 2020

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inaugural address at the India Global Week 2020 begins. The event is being organised by India Inc., a London-headquartered media house that was founded by entrepreneur and strategist Manoj Ladwa.

The PM, “There is faith that the story of global revival will have India playing a leading role. World over, you have seen the contribution of India’s talent force. India is a powerhouse of talent that is eager to contribute,” says PM Modi.

Further, “Who can forget the Indian tech industry and tech professionals, they have been showing the way for decades. India is a power-house of talent that is eager to contribute,” he added. He also noted that, “Atma Nirbhar Bharat is not about being self-contained or being closed to the world. It is about being self-sustaining and self-generating,”.

The PM, “Indians have the spirit to achieve what is believed to be impossible. No wonder that in India, we are already seeing green-shoots when it comes to economic recovery,” PM Modi asserted.

He said that, Indians are natural reformers. History shows that India has overcome every challenge be it social or economic. On one hand India is fighting strong battle against the global pandemic. With an increased focus on people’s health, we are equally focussed on health of economy: PM Narendra Modi tells global investors summit.

The PM, “India remains one of the most open economies in the world.  We are laying a red carpet for all global companies to come and establish their presence in India. Very few countries will offer the kind of opportunities India does today,” PM Modi added.

PM Modi at the India Global Week 2020 stated that, “Indian pharma sector produces two-third vaccines for the world. India will have an important role in pharma globally,”. He said that, India is a powerhouse of talent, Indians are natural reformers.

The PM, “Vaccines made in India are responsible for two-third of the vaccine needs of the world’s children. Today also our companies are active in international efforts for development and production of Covid-19 vaccine,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi at India Global Week 2020.

Close to 250 speakers are expected to address the virtual meet today on a range of themes, including world politics, business, technology, banking and finance, pharma, defence and security, and arts and culture. The event, whose theme is ‘The Revival: India and a Better New World’, will have 5,000 global participants from 30 nations being addressed by 250 global speakers across 75 sessions.

Consequently, The PM said that during the last six years, India has made great gains in areas such as total financial inclusion, record housing and infra construction, Ease of Doing Business, bold tax reforms including the GST. “This is an India which is reforming, performing and transforming! India awaits you all,” he concludes.
