The Indian Railways is trying to put an end to those tiresome quarrels that break out due to oversleeping passengers on the middle and lower berths by reducing official sleeping hours. Number of times to pee and poop will be released shortly and your tickets will also carry the respective time slots… Meanwhile we will continue to use toilets that drain the shit in the tracks and wouldn’t replace them, ah you know why because we have “those” manual scavengers…
Piyush Goyal is the new Railway Minister of India. ( As on 4th of September) Piyush Goyal was the man the Prime Minister Narendra Modi banked on for turning around India’s crisis prone Power Sector, is now his crisis manager for the Indian Railways. Goyal, according to gossips, takes over from Suresh Prabhu who has been in an negative spotlight after recent train derailments within few days.
“Sleeping accommodation between 2200 hours and 0600 hours and sitting accommodation for the rest of the period is provided for the passengers in the reserved coaches having sleeping accommodation”.
Our educated arrogant co-travellers of Indian Railway need to know this provision while travelling in a reserved coach…mostly in A/C coaches people often behave like they have got reservation to sleep 24 hours…I had a bitter encounter with two educated women passenger of sleeper class while travelling from Bangalore city to Mysore in a day time journey.
A very silly idea, Railway officials who failed to control the illegal passengers entery into reserved compartments have devised a method to punish reserved ticket passengers. If illegal passengers are not allowed inside then there is hardly any sitting problem. People adjust and co operate very well. Isolated examples need not be used to change the law.
The Government should make it 5.00 AM. People should wake up in BrhamMuhrat. After all we want all Indians to follow Hindu practices. Increase lower berth fare 3times reduce upper berth by half ,notify prominently sleeping and waking up timely in each sub section.?????
Instead of first asking the Civic workers to do their jobs properly and in timely manner, they ask the citizens to clean up. Instead of getting corruption rooted out completely especially when they’d the list of tax evaders & money scammers, they inconvenience the common man by undertaking Demonetization.
Instead of focusing on development(on which they came into power), they’re focusing on stopping people from eating beef, building temples and religious fundamentalism.
Instead of maintaining discipline in rank & file, they’re promoting jingoism, vindictiveness against particular individuals, family and/or party, for their dynastic & corrupted rule and the sufferings these people have endured during emergency; but this could or should have been and should be combated by demonstrating better governance and not thru such vindictive ideology.
Now this… Instead of improving its service, these are the antiques that IR is resorting to. Asking people to sleep less? Seriously. Why don’t you ask them to buy tickets, but not travel thru trains. You can be more efficient, reduce your workforce, maintain the (abysmally low) levels of service and increase profitability. What is going on in the country? Stations are a mess. Trains are a mess. Accidents have become a norm. IR is focusing on bullet trains, asking people to sleep less…I seriously would like to know who are these brilliant minds at IR, who come up with these ridiculous ideas? Does Mr. Narendra Modi and his team of blind believers seriously think the people will continue to follow his lead in 2019 too.
Mr. PM, you and your team are failing me and I am beginning to think I wasted my votes on your party. In spite of what happened in 2002, while you were CM of a state, I voted for you cos’ there was no other political leader in the opposition (and not even as of now, an advantage which you’re misusing). Also everybody deserves a chance. This does not apply to people speaking at Berkeley. But come 2019, your gimmicks, acronyms, boring long speeches, PR propaganda won’t work, just as ‘India Shining’ didn’t. The belief which many including me and many younger than me laid on you is fading. As one Mr. Tendulkar used to keep saying after losing matches during his captaincy, you need to pull up your socks before its too late. Please don’e make us and take India back by a couple of decades under the leadership of an immature, unintelligent, incapable and for lack of any other words, idiot like Mr. Gandhi.
We will be watching you. 2019 is not too far away…and not even Gujarat. You can rule there as long as you want if you fail at the centre. As you said to some bureaucrats at the beginning of your term, you too perform or perish.
