At 34, Finland’s “Sann Marin” has earned the distinction of becoming the world’s youngest Prime Minister. Notably, She was the first person in her family to go to university. She is one politician who will certainly appeal to the millennial ‘Instagram generation’- as Finland is hit by strikes and populist nationalism looms over its politics.
She becomes not only Finland’s youngest ever PM, but also the world’s youngest sitting head of government, ahead of Ukraine’s Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk. Sann Marin become Finland’s third female PM- World’s Youngest PM.
Significantly, She rose quickly through the ranks of the Social Democrats, heading the city administration in Tampere at the age of 27 and becoming an MP in 2015. She has been transport and communications minister since June and has a 22-month-old daughter.
