World Cup: India beat West Indies by 125 runs

India defeated West Indies by 125 runs in the 34th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford, Manchester on Thursday.  The West Indies were all out for 143 in 34.2 overs. India ended its first innings at 268/ 7 in 50 overs. MS Dhoni’s fifty took India to its final total, Hardik Pandya also contributed a significant 48 runs.

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli was undoubtedly the pillar of India’s innings with his 72 runs. After Rohit Sharma got out early, KL Rahul helped Virat Kohli to build India’s innings. However, Rahul got out and he was followed quickly by Vijay Shankar and Kedar Jadhav.

Virat Kohli has broken a world record by becoming the fastest batsmen in the world to score 20,000 International runs, faster than legends Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. The only unbeaten team, India will look to continue 27-year-long winning streak against West Indies. India vs West Indies World Cup cricket match will be played at 3 pm IST at Old Trafford, Manchester. Can India take advantage of the used wicket?
