The NDA on March 23 announced candidates for 39 of a total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar for the 2019 general elections. Bhupender Yadav, BJP national general secretary, is announcing the names of NDA candidates from Bihar. Meanwhile, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will contest from Patna Sahib, the parliamentary constituency represented by Shatrughan Sinha. In other words, Union minister Giriraj Singh of the BJP will contest from Begusarai and Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Sahib.

Notably, Giriraj Singh has been moved from his Navada Lok Sabha constituency to neighbouring Begusarai parliamentary seat. Further, Lok Janshakti Party’s Chirag Paswan will contest from Jamui, Union minister Radha Mohan Singh of the BJP from East Champaran, and BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy from Saran. According to this list, BJP’s spokesperson Sambit Patra will contest from Puri in Odisha.
Despite the same, The alliance has now named its candidates for 39 seats. The candidate for the 40th seat, Khagaria, will be from the Lok Janshakti Party and will be named in a few days, says BJP General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav while announcing the candidates names for LS polls 2019. The 17th LS elections will start on April 11 and continue till May 19, this year.
