Accusing the Congress of finishing her party, BSP chief Mayawati on Wednesday ruled out an alliance with the Congress in the coming Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. “The Congress is two steps ahead of the BJP in attempts to finish the BSP. We have decided that the party would not ally with the Congress in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan at any cost,” Says Mayawati.

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has said that the party respected Mayawati’s opinion. “Mayawati has expressed her opinion, we respect it. She also expressed confidence in Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. If there is consensus between us, then no fourth person can create trouble,” said Randeep Surjewala. “At times, out of emotions, sweet and bitter, things are said. But at last if Mayawatiji holds absolute trust in Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi then other creases can be ironed out,” he said at a presser.
