CBSE paper leak: Google furnishes e-mail details of whistleblower to Delhi Police

Google has sent to the Delhi police details of the person who sent the mail to alert the CBSE Board Chairman Anita Karwal about the alleged leakage in the class 10 Maths exam, sources said on Saturday. The sources said the SIT of the Delhi police, which is probing the case, has received a response from Google on the e-mail details of the whistleblower in the case.

They said that the E-mail address details of the person have been received from Google. The sources said the man who sent the alert to CBSE Chairman was being questioned to ascertain from where he got the question papers and who were the culprits in this syndicate.’ The person who sent the mail has been identified. Further enquiries are being made from him,’the sources said.

The person had alerted Karwal on March 28 regarding the alleged leak of Class 10 mathematics paper, the sources said. The sources said a total of 53 students and 7 teachers have been questioned so far in connection with the leak of Class 10 maths and Class 12 economics question papers. Six WhatsApp groups figuring in the trail of transmission of papers are also being looked into. Two more ACP-rank officers with their teams have been added in SIT for further probe.
