Modi leads in Varanasi by 1.5 lakh votes

BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi wins the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat after having established an unassailable lead of nearly 1.5 lakh votes over his nearest rival AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal.

As per trends made available at 1:30 PM, the number of votes polled in favour of Modi were 2,01,768 as against Kejriwal, who secured 63,135 votes.

Ajay Rai of the Congress, a sitting local MLA who was expected to be one of Modi’s principal challengers, was trailing at the fourth position behind Vijay Prakash Jaiswal of BSP.
