4 drug peddlers arrested in J-K”s Udhampur, Jammu and Reasi

The police have arrested four alleged drug peddlers after recovering cannabis and heroin from them in separate cases in Udhampur, Jammu and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said on Thursday.

A police party intercepted a vehicle on the Katra road at Nangal area in Reasi district on Wednesday night and recovered 1.36 kgs of cannabis, they said.

Two people, identified as Talib Hussain and Mohmmad Younis, were arrested and a case registered against them, they said.

In another incident, another person named Mohmmad Ramzan was arrested from the Sallian Talab area in Udhampur city after 180 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession, they said.

The police also arrested Mohmmad Javed from the Greater Kailash area of Jammu city and recovered 55 grams of heroin on Wednesday night, they said. A case has been registered against the accused.
