WBJEE Counselling Will Begin From the Second Week of June 2018
WBJEE Counselling 2018 will starts from the month of June 2018 for engineering, architecture and pharmacy courses. The candidates will be able to register for the WBJEE Counselling through online mode only on its official website.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts a state level examination named WBJEE for providing admission to the students in the UG courses of engineering, pharmacy, technology and architecture. WBJEE scores are considered by various colleges, Government colleges, and self-financed institutes in the state of West Bengal.

WBJEE Counselling 2018 Complete Process
The counselling process will be conducted after the declaration of the WBJEE Result 2018. The counselling for the admission to the engineering colleges in the state of West Bengal is conducted on the basis of WBJEE Counselling 2018. The counselling process will commence from 2nd week of June 2018 and the candidates will be able to register for the counselling via online mode only on the official website of WBJEE wbjeeb.nic.in a there is no offline mode available for registration for the counselling. The counselling will be held in three rounds. The WBJEE Counselling will be carried out by the following procedure:
Note: The candidates have to be noted that the last date of submitting counselling fee is in the third week of June 2018.
Step – 1: Online Registration and Fee payment:
The candidates have to register themselves for the counselling process on the official website wbjeeb.nic.in. After that, the candidates have to pay the counselling fee of Rs. 500/- via Debit card, Credit card, Net Banking, or e-challan (Allahabad Bank) etc. Only those candidates will be able to go for the further procedure of counselling who have successfully paid the counselling fees.
Step – 2: Online Choice Filling:
After successfully submitting the fees and registering for the counselling, candidates are now allowed to fill the preferences and the choice of the colleges. The choice preferences of the colleges will be shown according to the eligibility of the candidates. All the candidates are requested to fill the single set of choice even if they are eligible for both the colleges. The choices of the colleges submitted by the candidates will be carried forward till the final round of the counselling.
Step – 3: Choice Locking of the Filled in Choices
Now, the candidates have to fix the choices they have made. For that, they have to click on the Lock Choices button. Once the choices are filled, it cannot be changed.
Step – 4: Seat Allotment:
The candidates will get the seats as per the merit in GMR or PMR automatically. The candidates who have been allotted seats in the 1st round will have to report at the reporting centre to complete the admission related formalities. All the three rounds of the counselling will be conducted for the admission. The remaining vacant seats will be filled in subsequent rounds of the WBJEE Counselling.
Step – 5: Seat Allotment First Round:
The first round of the set allotment will be done on the basis of choices locked by the candidates. The candidates, who wish to withdraw the seat allotted to them, will have to report the same reporting centre where the seat allotment procedure was conducted.
Step – 6: Seat Allotment Second Round:
There will be no fresh registration accepted in the second round of the counselling. The candidates are categorised in the following groups who are eligible for the second round of seat allotment.
- Group 1 – The candidates who are not allotted any seats in the first round.
- Group 2 – The candidates who are allotted sets seat in the first round (fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria).
- Group 3 – The candidates who have been allotted seats in the second round proceed for the further procedure.
After all that, the candidates will have to verify their documents at the particular reporting centres.
